Dear Social Work Majors!

Do you know that as a social work major, you are already a member of the Society of Social Work Students (SSWS)? Therefore, as a valued member of the society, the 26th Executive Committee of SSWS would like to hear from you and get to know you!

What is our 26^th EXCO’s mission?

We aim to reach out to and bond the social work majors, regardless of cohort, so as to become one united and happy social work family. We also aim to be an open and humble society that welcomes and respects feedback so that we may improve ourselves. Lastly, we aim to be excellent representatives between the department and you, so that together, we can make our learning a more fulfilling one.

What can you expect during our term in SSWS?

You will be able to expect a range of exciting activities! We will be holding an information sharing session for those who are uncertain about choosing social work as a major and would like to find out more, as well as celebrating Social Work Day, through raising awareness about social work among NUS students. We also recognise that self-care is important too, so look forward to recreational activities coming your way! Just a sneak preview, the first upcoming event that we will have is the distribution of Welfare Packs nearing examinations!
